still open around the Waco area? My mule deer lease is 500 miles away and I haven't gotten my fix yet! Rifle, shotgun, or bow it doesn't matter. I just want to get out in the field.

I think Lake Whitney has an area? Check the public hunting threads they might help, although those guys act like you are wanting to hunt in their backyards.LOL

All you gotta do Sabrekiller is go to the dam office on the Bosque county side. Show them your current license and hunters ed. card and that's it. They'll give you your maps and permits and you're ready to go. Good luck to ya.

Not quite sure what ya meant by that but I know that I ain 't got a problem with anyone hunting out there. As long as you follow the rules and regs and show respect to the land and other hunters.
