thats the plan. Hopefully soon I will. What I dont get is the last rain we got filled it up about half way. It had been completely dry for about 3 years. I showed up 4 days after the rain and there were thousands of minnows swimming around

rented a dozer and did alot of work on the gullies feeding into. Only tood 2.5" to fill it up this time.

I think thats the main problem at our place...i was there during a down pour and I walked down to one of our tanks and most of the water ran down the road and then behind the dam...land owner needs to make some adjustments

Before we did the dozer work the 2.5" that just filled it up might have filled up the deepest hole in the bottom and thats it. It made a huge difference.

I hunted with an old timer a good while back, that swore that where he was stationed in WWII, it would rain minnows. He said that they would go outside after a good rain and there would be monnows on top of the 55 gal drums.

One common way to get fish in a newly filled pond/lake is that Fish eggs are usually transplanted off of birds' feet like heron's, cranes, and such
