Got this video in an email this morning. Pretty amazing, I am sure this one is like a lab rat and has been "trained" so to speak but still amazing

Crows make good pets too. We had two growing up. Fed them can dog food. They would keep the backyard clean of all trash, leaves, sticks, etc.. They loved to scare our dogs. Anything that was shinny they would hind in a stash, things like gum wrappers, pull tabs, etc... After about a year they got tired of dog food and moved out.

My buddy had one as a pet for years even talked a couple words. They fed it dry dog food and would dip the food into water to soften it up before eating.

Another friend had a small dog catch a crow somehow in is back yard and the dog killed it. The next day 2 crows came ack and attacked the dog. It ended up losing an eye.

I also raised a couple of crows, Edgar and Allen Crow. Got them from an irrigation repair man who found them almost drowned as little chicks. They were excellent pets and lots of fun. They went with the other crows during the annual trek south. I'm pretty sure they still think about me from time to time though.

Joe the Crow lived down the street from me and would visit the Elementary School across town. He was a cool bird.

Mystery solved. We always had a couple of crows show up every winter and talked about Stan in Plainview all the time. Do crows lie?

Years ago as a kid, the local garden store in the town I grew up in had a pet crow in a cage by the front door. The bird would say "hello" as you walked in and "bye bye" on your way out. It was pretty neat.
