    Those shops usually advertise on craigslist all the time also. I would do it for you if I were closer.... Maybe there is another savvy tbh in your area.

      Brief update for those considering the Kindle Fire...

      I purchased one of the refurb units for my daughter (9yrs old) and it arrived yesterday. In about 5 minutes it was unpacked and connected to our home wi-fi. So far it's been easier to use and more intuitive than I expected. We have downloaded a few kid books, streamed a video and done some web surfing. So far she's had no issues with the interface and seems to be very happy with it.

      Granted we are less than 24hrs into it but at this point I would have no problem recommending this for someone looking for an e-reader with a few extras. No, it is not an iPad nor a free form computing tablet but for our needs I think it will work out pretty well.
