    Inexpensive Tablet?

Where can I find a good inexpensive tablet. Doesn't have to be Ipad. Need to be able to load movies for the kids and games like angry birds. Used is not out of the question. We are takeing the kids to see the giant rat in Florida this summer and need something to keep my boy occupide on the plane over. Don't want to shell out on a new ipad as he likes to throw things.

I bought my wife a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and my 10 yr old daughter saved up enough to buy a used one for $150. They both seem to enjoy them.

Sounds like the Kindle Fire is pretty popular. I have the Ipad 3 and like it but I can see it not being good for a kiddo who drops, throws or just misplaces things.

We bought each of our kids a Toshiba Thrive for their b-days last month. They had refubished 16 gig's for $279. They are $399 at Best Buy new. They are great tablets and I've really enjoyed messing with them. They are fast on wi-fi and are one of the only tablets to have all of the same connections/storage capabilities that a laptop has (plus expandable memory). I would recommend the Thrive in the 16gig version.

The Kindle Fire is a good option. You can also buy a plethora of offbrand ~ $100 tablets on amazon that run on Android. I'd recommend reading reviews though, quality varies widely.

Hold on. Isnt the Kindle Fire limited with storage space? Would I have to store movies in the cloud? If so this would mean that I have to have wifi. This is no good at 35000 feet and I would have to have a provider.

Ok! Its got 8GB of internal storage. Says that should be enough for 10 movies. I think thats doable.
