Greywind was BIG... which ends my one big gripe from season 1.

Last night's episode seemed a little slow to me, but I think they're just setting up the story lines. The look on the queen's face after she slapped the little jackwagon was priceless. Can't WAIT to see what happens next.

There are currently 5 books out with 2 more to go. Each book is written several years apart.
As for the show verses the books, there are several underlying things going on that the shows can not touch because it would just be too much going on and too much info. However the overall story is very similar to the book.

Just finished the first season. It was entertaining...I'm looking forward to the second season starting April 1.
We watched the first episode last night and I, too, thought the first show of this season was a little slow, but it's on "Record Series" and we'll be onboard for the duration.
Our son has read all 5 books and eagerly awaits the final two. I need to ask him if that Geoffrey snit lasts much longer...hate to wish for the demise of a 14 year old character, but, dang, he needs killing in this story.

Loved season 1. Started reading the books, not normally a genre I'd read but they're so well written. I'm on book 3 now and taking my time. I read the first 2 books in about 20 days. Hubby won't let me tell him what's happened in book 2 and thus far into book 3. After this latest episode aired (The Ghost of Harrenhall) he's asking questions. I was sworn not to reveal anything I'd read thus far. Think he'll start reading the books after the end of season 2. Looking forward to the rest of season 2 and the start of season 3!!
