I'm hoping to locate them with spinners and cranks, this time last year we were catching pretty good numbers in grass and off points, but the weather was a bit different.

off the bank that's risky with the gators in there, there are some biguns.

Do whaaaaaat? Gators in Choke? Dude, you just ruined my swimming. We usually run a mile or so up the river and fish and swim. Now I will just fish.

Took the kids wendsday for spring break and fished for catfish. Caught 50-60 in about 3 hours all were small 9-14 inch range. There were lots of people cleaning fish when we came out. Lots of Crappie right now are comming off beds.

Went about a week ago and it was pretty slow, caught about 15 fish with most coming from around tank dams but a few off true grass. Throwing senkos and lizards in darker colors

No way. Are you serious? I was unaware that choke canyon had gators. Can anyone else here confirm this? Or at least agree with this?

They are shallow, been producing on chartreuse square bills, shaky head worms, and chatter baits. Possum creek and calliham are where I would start

Not sure if you are joking but I see them all the time especially up the river-12 footers easy. We still waterski in the main lake though.
