    Axis Vitals??

I'm going to try to take an axis doe with my bow this week on my San Angelo hunt, and was wondering how the vitals are laid out compared to a whitetail. I've heard that axis vitals are farther forward on the body, but wasn't sure.
I knew somebody around here would know .
    Anyone?
A diagram or picture would be awesome.

Shoot the same as you would on whitetail. This is a picture of the Axis in my avatar. He walked about 30 yards and then took a dirt nap.

I've gutted both and don't remember Axis being a lot different than Whitetail, of course I wasn't doing an anatomy study when performing the surgery. They look very close in body configuration.

I have shot exactly one axis, so I guess I am an expert.

To me it looked like the lungs start in the same area as a whitetail, but don't extend as far back, so stay tight to the shoulder. The heart and gut looked bigger than on a whitetail.
