Primos iPhone Pig Call... Did it really work?

Ok. I am just now getting to hunt pigs. Tonight I was getting bored and pulled out the ole' iPhone with the Primos calls on it.

I turned the volume up and hit the squealer and then hit the grunt a couple of times.

I am not exaggerating.... In less than about 3 or 4 minutes I had a pack of of piggies come running in. They nearly ran over the ground blind.. They walked around and then walked off... I sat for about 20 minutes and did it again.... yes, they came back. I did this 2 more times with same result. I did have hand corn on the ground, but very little.

Do you all think they were close, heard the call, and came running in?
Do you think that they were close and were coming by anyways?

I don't have a clue, but it was awesome!

I think pigs are "smart", when it comes to being shot at... however, I think they will respond to sounds if they're not accustomed to it. Looks like I have another app!

Well, I don't plan worth a flip and couldnt shoot. I really just want to kill one with my bow. It was really interesting seeing them run in. I'm going to try it again next week and video it.

I think it was an accident if a group came in. A big boar on the other hand would have come in to defend. I have the same app and I HAVE stopped coyotes and bobcats in their tracks

Downloading the App as we speak. Korbin, where do you hunt pigs? I hunt them off of Park Rd 37 in Bandera county. Hope it's not too close to you. Don't want to teach the pigs by using the APP too much in the same area.

I got crap from a bunch of guys at camp for taking an ipod speaker to the blind with plans to use the primos app. they said it would never work. i hit the predator call and had a coyote on the ground in less than 2 minutes.

Just downloaded it. Man, some of the calls could use a sound upgrade but the predator, waterfowl and eustrus can calls sound really good. Can't wait to try these.

Is this the Primos app that leads to advertisement of their products or just a straight sound file?

I don't know but I called the pigs in with it again... I think it will need speakers attached in order to do more serious calling where I hunt. The wind is always blowing

I would think it has more to do with the number of pigs in the area, and I believe they learn very quick, don't over do it, but it sounds like it works just fine, good luck putting one down with your bow
