Lake Texoma Striper Guide

I promised Twerpy a guided fishing trip this spring at Christmas. I should probably have scheduled it earlier, but here I am. (she chose stripers @ Texoma over bass @ Fork)

Previously, I have fished with the guys from Stripers, Inc. They were a nice bunch, but I didn't catch many fish. (admittedly, nobody was that day, including the other guides we talked to)

Any suggestions, or thoughts? I need to get it booked soon, hoping to go by mid April.

This will be for Mrs Gummi, Twerpy and me. I really don't want to fish a crowded boat full of strangers, I'd prefer it be us and the guide.

I'm assuming that pricing will be comparable among guides.

Rick is a real stand up guy. If they're not biting, he'll tell you not to waste your money that day. We have several groups that hunt with us that go down and fish Texoma with Rick while they're here and haven't had a bad report yet. I've gone with Rex Bridges twice and had a blast. He was hilarious and put us on the fish. I'll go with him again next time I head up there.

Unless you are dead set on fishing Texoma I would reconsider and switch to Twakoni. That lake is on fire!!!!!

I have been with Tinkers a couple times, always caught a bunch of fish.
On one trip the Bannister boy was our guide and he was good. I believe he has his own service now. Tinkers and Bannister have both been on that lake many years.
