    licenses

I have had Florida residency since I moved here 3 years ago. I will be going to Texas residency in August, because my "home" will be in Austin and college will be in Alabama ROLL TIDE. I am going sheep hunting/ hog in the next couple of weeks and was wondering what license I need to get from Texas Parks, or if I need one at all

Bigjack, to claim residency in Texas, you have to have lived here for 6 consecutive months. If that does not work for you, then you can get a Non Res Special Hunting $132 taht will allow you to hunt anything that does not require a tag. There is also a Non Res Special 5 day license $48 that does the same thing but for the 5 consecutive days. Hope this helps.

I may be mistaken but if you have lived here for the last three years by Texas law you should have claimed residency long ago

I'm pretty sure you can get the non-resident five-day special hunting license for $48. You can go to walmart or academy for it.
