    It's a sad day

Just got done throwing away all of my deer meat. Freezer went out and I didn't realize it until it was too late. It is gonna be a long time until October. Man I'm gonna be mad at them by then.

Happened to us a few years ago. Major bummer!

Man, that sucks. I only shot one this year, but if you are in or near Houston, I can give you some burger or steaks... at least enough to make a meal or two

It is actually the piggies fault that I haven't gotten any meat from the freezer for a few days. I had some fresh pork that I have been cooking and haven't been out to the freezer for deer meat. You can bet that we will be eating a lot of pork. I'm mad at them too.

Thanks for the offer but I couldn't do that to you. Typically we don't buy much from the store because we eat deer all year long. Maybe I can talk the wife into an exotic doe hunt. A big fat axis doe would sure help.

You may want to check your insurance policy, or your freezer warranty. I had it happen 2-3 times and I was always covered for some loss.

Had it happen with about 180 lbs of elk meat. Freezer was on a switch, and one of my children turned it off. Worst part was, it took me 5-6 years to get one with my longbow. That was some expensive elk!

                          Dang! Sorry to hear that!

I came home from work one day and the husband was cooking dinner, venison burgers. The smell of venison cooking (and because of pregnancy) I got sicker than a dog and he had to throw it out. We gave about 80# of meat away because I couldn't eat it. It was heartbreaking.

Well if you make a baby between now and October keep me in mind.
Seriously I would have had been in big trouble if that had happened to my wife.
