Whats a good assist opening knife?

I'm in the market for a new assist opening knife, my gerber has gone down hill and I'm worried about it closing on my fingers. I prefer a blade 3"-3.5", and it does not have to have a lock. No real price range but I dont want to spend an arm and a leg.

    Thanks, BigFoot

Benchmade make a awesome assisted open knife. I have 2 of them, 1 for work and 1 for any other time. They have a lock and the blade is about what your looking for

Love this bad boy! $75 at CTD, rugged, durable, spring loaded and has a sandpaper like grip. It's held that same edge forever too. Bought it 6 years ago, best knife I've ever had. You will not regret this purchase.

My buddy swears by this one. He's a current LEO (I'm former, we both used these knives on patrol, says a lot because this is your last ditch or gun retention weapon) and paid $150 for it. He gushes about it, you might check it out.

                          Great warranty too!

I know it's not a spring assist but I've had my auto Stryker for 11 years now. I've had it sent back to the factory to get cleaned up, new springs, and factory sharpened twice so far. Great products!
