Yep, Artos is correct. The 358 Winchester is the 308 necked up. You can do some interesting things with it if you reload and it makes a dandy thumper round inside 200 yards.
I'd not pass up the chance to snag a model 88 in this same caliber, but the planets have thus far not aligned correctly for me.

See that little tiny tear at the bottom of the hole? If it wasn't for that it would have been a Worlds record. Shot this at the Texas State Championships..day one I was in 6th place, day 2 I was disqualified for shooting late. Heart breaker...300 some odd shooters at that match.
Still was the smallest group shot in HV in 3 days of shooting. I think they measured it about 5 or 6 times before the recorded it.

Blake, you are a wealth of knowledge. Those cutaways are awesome. I can totally respect an opinion backed up by facts and pictures. That is exactly how you illustrate a point, not, "That AR is garbage because you're a noob and it'll take too long to explain." LOL
Got me drooling for a custom rifle now. Dangit.
