Thanks Dale! Tony tried to hook us up. It sounded like he was in bad shape though. Cotton's son was going to come from north of McKinney. The guy who shot the doe felt bad and didn't want to have him come from that far. We found her at first light she was about 20-30 yards from where we marked the last blood we found last night.

The story had a little more detail than we thought. She was shot with a 30-06 behind the left shoulder is what I was told. I could not believe how far she went and how little blood with a shot in that area. We tracked her probably 200-250 yards in waist high broom weed. This morning it looked like the doe must have been quartering away more than he thought. The dreaded Texas heart shot... I really felt bad for the deer.

Hey, I tried all I could to recover last night.

As for my hunts this weekend......... SKUNKED AGAIN!!

I appreciate the thought Dale. I have come up dry this year so far. I have one more weekend to make it happen. I don't plan on being on this lease next year. So if anyone knows of something in the Young/Palo Pinto county area that is affordable let me know.
