My daughter is 6 right now, and she gave her life to Christ a few months ago. I was hesitant to believe she understood the decision until she told me what it meant better than i could have explained it! Kids learn early, so setting this tone will no doubt change your family. We've failed a LOT as parents, but have always been careful to help our kids understand the grace, love, and freedom that Jesus offers us/them. We talk about Jesus, memorize scripture together, and sing the doxology and pray as a family at bedtime (doxology is an old family thing for me), and those will always be some of my most treasured family times.

It scares me that He would trust me with a wife and kids. But i know that if i will get out of my way and follow Him, they will be in good hands. Its when i try to lead that they are in bad hands.

Well said, Sammy. It's a very humbling and scary responsibility to be the spiritual leader of a family - especially when a man is as flawed as I am.
