There used to be (haven't been around OKC since '95) a FireFighters' Museum, and the national Softball HoF within easy driving of Cowboy HoF.

The OKC Zoo is excellent... if you do 'zoos'.

NOTE: Ask the locals if "Mary's" or "Old Paris" flea markets are still cranking... they were OUTSTANDING!

NOTE2: For eats... CASINA De MINO was fantabulous! (I ate there every chance I got, throughout the 80s and 90s... when they were in the little pink "hole in the wall" on S.E. 29th. TONS of "power lunches" took place there, with Mercedes, Bmers, Jags and even Bentleys in the lot. Yessir, they were THAT GOOD).

If you are into western stuff shopping spend time in the Stock Yards and eat a steak at Cattlemans. BassPro is in Brick Town and the boat ride there is okay, either at Brick Town on they have one on the river. http://www.skullsunlimited.com/ is cool as is the http://www.snomnh.ou.edu/ Natural History Mus. in Norman. The Oklahoma History Center is okay too - http://www.okhistory.org/historycenter/index.

Or you could come see me, NOT that exciting but I bet we could tell a lie to each other.

      Have fun.

When I was there I visited the Murrah building memorial. Breathtaking. Walking distance from Bricktown.

I'll echo what others have said. Plan an entire day or as much time as you can for the Cowboy HOF (that's what I'll always call it, I grew up in OK and took yearly field trips there). It is pretty awesome.

The Land Run statues in Bricktown along the river are pretty cool.

            The zoo is amazing.

I don't know where your sporting loyalties lie, but the Barry Switzer Center at OU is very cool, a ton of memorabilia.

South of OKC on I-35 there's a big cat drive thru safari kind of deal. I can't remember the name or where it is exactly but it's pretty neat. There will be signs along I-35, ya can't miss it. Don't bother with Arbuckle Wilderness, it hasn't been well maintained and unless you wanna see 100 fallow, axis and aoudad there isn't much else there.

Have fun, OKC is a pretty amazing city.

                ...yep.

As for Barry, I talked with him in his office at the top of the stairs in the stadium a couple of times... that's 'memorabilia' enough for me.

I've often wondered if TUCKER TOWER is still standing (down around Ardmore).

Awesopme place if you love cowboys and our western history. Love the statues of Ronald Reagan and the one of Charelton Heston from the movie Will Penny.

I went mid week and was sitting in the parking lot half an hour before they opened, just so I coulld take as many pics as possible before too many people showed up.

The gun rooms are a sight to behold if you like classic western firearms.

X2 on eating over at the Stock Yards. Some of the best steaks I've ever had.

                  Have fun and share pics.

It was about a year ago.
