    poison peanuts ?.

Will poison peanuts for gophers kill a deer if it eats them? The reason I ask is today while going to our place I saw a dead deer laying about 15 yrds off the road and no signs of foul play ,thought maybe she was hit by a truck, then about 400 yrds further up boom there lies another dead deer about 50 yrd off the road, I was like . And again no foul play of any sort. Both deer were within 20 yrds of water and there is a hay patch about a half mile away that just put out gopher bait. What do y'all think?

I don't know about the peanuts, it says on the warning label not to let anything else have access but I would think they'd have to eat like a handful or something. In the spring there are quite a few native plants that will do them in.

I never heard of useing poison peanuts . The gopher bait I use is milo coated with poison . I just put out a 5 gal bucket of it about 6 wks ago. I have heard of cattle being killed by it but they have to eat quite a bit of it.........Andy
