i would not rule out SF. i don't know what their cap situation is, but they lost to the giants because they got nothing from the qb

its not a matter of which team wants peyton, but which team peyton wants. he will go to the right situation (owner, coach, defense, running game, o-line, etc). lack of defense in indy over the years is the main reason he only has 1 ring and not 4 or 5.

He also hinted that he wouldn't not play in the NFC.

I think Arizona would be a good fit. Warm weather, good running game and Larry Fitzgerald.

The reason he was in Miami after the press conference is because he owns a house there. He may very well end up in Miami, but according to reports he went there to sort things out.

I am thinking of starting an NFL team based in Tyler (or maybe Lindale since it's closer) and call it the East Texas HAWGS. I wonder if I can sign him up?

Michael Bidwill, coach Whisenhunt and Larry Fitzgerald are all in south Florida as of this evening.

Even though I am a Cardinal fan I do think the absolute best fit for Peyton Manning would be the Houston Texans. He would have the defense, running game and the WR's. All he would need to work on is getting the HC to let him take over some of the offensive game plan.

Pro football is a business. Peyton M. got paid plenty for his services over the years. No reason to expect more than that. And it probably doesn't hurt that he thinks he can find another big payday from someone else.

Huh?!?! Do you not remember the drive for drive battle between smith and manning? Smith played great! He is a big reason they got that far!

Smith had a better than expected season but he's not great. He's been there since '05, hasn't done anything until last year. Defense is the big reason they got that far.

I wish Dallas would get rid of Tony Homo and go after Peyton. Lord knows they need a QB
