    Hiring Welders

    Just wanted to pass along a job for welders.

    Experience with 7018 stick

    Must have 3+ yrs expereince

    Job is temp to hire at Toyota in San Antonio

    Pay starts at $12.00/hr
    Must pass test

      $12 an hour? My little bro is welding for a pipeline company down south making 5Xs that with only a year experience!! Good luck getting that spot filled. Toyota needs to come on with some money!!

            You would think. I'm Not a welder but most ads I see down here start at 20

            I always pictured the welding was done by robots.

              Just talked to 6 welders in a coffee shop in Pleasanton, they are getting $65-100 an hour on pipelines

                $12 for single hand, is no way competitive. Most shops are around $18 an hr with some sort of benefits.
                Construction, shutdowns type are $25 to $30+ an hr plus per diem.
                Then, your rig welders can go anywhere from $50 up to around $75 an hr. I haven't met one yet that claimed $100 an hr, but very could be somewhere.
                I know some burger flippers making close to $12

                  Yota needs to open up there wallet a lil more. I know people that work in gas stations that make 12-14 hr.
