Boars Nest Hunts - Columbus, TX

Has anyone tried this place? Looking for a place to let a few arrows fly with close proximity to Houston. Price of this place is appealing , $150 (evening/night/morning - unlimited hogs). Found it on craigslist, so I'm not getting my hopes up. I figured if it meets the expectations of TBH'ers, I'd give it a go.

    Thanks.

The fellas who run this are friends of mine. I have not hunted with them personally but where the ranch is located it is covered in bacon. It could be a great hunt with some good people.

I would be interested in going too. Spring break is coming and the kids want to let some blood out of some pigs.

Nope, ad says there are rifle, shotgun, and bowstands available. You can google the name, they have a website with info. Actually, more info on the Houston Craigslist site. On CL do a search for "Pig Hunt Hog hunt" and it will be the first one listed on March 6. Looks like a good way to spend a day off. Still would like to get more opinions before I commit.

Hogs were scarce during the drought. I have a buddy that runs hog hunts in the same area and pigs were tough to locate. This is prime area when conditions are good. I'd say since all the rain, the pigs will be moving.
I've heard good things about John and his hunting operation.

Seeing a hog 1 out of 2 hunts is pretty good in my book.
