    Help locating a bumper

While in S TX one of the ranch trucks had a rear replacement bumper (ranch hand type) that was also a road feeder. Anyone know what i am talking about?

Also, will a grille guard prevent damage from impacts or would a replacement bumper be needed?

Sip a good grill guard will help some depending on the impact. May stop all body damge may not stop much, but the same can be said for the bumper. A cheap grille guard will cause more damage than not having it all. A buddy of mine learned that all to well.

So a ranch hand grile guard would be beneficial?

Imo it would do more good than harm. They are well built and not just built for looks. Those thin wall fake chrome jobbers on the other hand will do the opposite.

Yes and no! It will help in low speed accidents, mainly for looks and brush guard duty. A solid steel ranch hand on front will take a pretty good lick and save the vehicle.

I have looked for your rear bumper/feeder combo and can't find anything. It must be a custom build.

A Ranch Hand will hold up to almost anything that moves. Now if you hit a tree it won't matter what you have up front. As far as your feeder bumper, I have no clue. Though anxious to see one.

I bet your boys at triple C can make you one.

Sippy, if you want a real heavy duty replacement bumper that will with stand a collision with a cement light pole with ZERO damage to any of the grille or sheet metal and is made here in TX, look at Workhorse out of Odessa TX. I can vouch for the strength of their replacement bumpers. I would personall go with the replacement bumper over just a grille guard.

I rear ended a small car several years ago (totaled it) and my truck itself was fine. My replacement Frontier was a little bent but at least my truck was fine. I would get a replacement if its in the budget. JMO

I am pretty sure that was a custom, the name may have been from the shop that made it.
