I try to start conversations and I converse. People that can't handle that call them arguments.
So you start a thread about a hot topic, no one takes the bait and you are suprised that people didn't give you what you were looking for. An argument. That's just the way I see it anyways. There is always a 3rd side to every story.

We complain about paying high prices for anything...but that doesn't mean most of us want more regulation. In many instances (fuel), less regulation/government involvement might actually serve to drive prices down.

My point was to be careful about generalizing one or handful of member's opinions as that of the "board." The board has no opinion!
Ok, I understand now. As far as the 20,000 members (or whatever it has gotten to now, congratulations) that is an unfair oversimplification of views.

No, I got exactly the answer I expected from most people. I expected a few more dissenters.
I have some PM's to write.

If it weren't for ranchers opening their lands for hunting we ("the board") wouldn't get to enjoy this wonderful passion. Thank goodness for that. Sure, prices seem high to some but it's a great example of capitalism. The value for something (in this case hunting rights) is what someone is willing to pay. Not everyone can swing that price, but if you want it bad enough you'll figure out how to justify the expense.

I really would like to shoot a "very large" buck with my bow. At some point in time I will figure out how to make enough money to afford such a luxury. Meanwhile, I'm happy just to go hunting with the possibility of shooting a mature buck using stick and string. For that matter, I'd really like to own a Corvette but currently am happy driving my trusty pickup. Some day....some day.

So to answer your question, set your price(s) and I'll call you whenever I can justify spending that kind of money for the awesome opportunity of hunting large bucks. It's all about supply and demand. And maybe I'll drive down to your ranch in my Corvette.
