16 gauge shooters: no xtra full chokes, no 3" shells?

I havent found any either. I have a double barrel 16 and shells are expensive. It wont be toom many years before we wont be able to find shells at all.

I haven't found any either. Usually can't even find any type of shells at Academy. I always have to hit up BPS to get shells.

shells arent hard to come by and high brass are same price as 12 and 20 for the most part. I order 5 cases of estate or fiochi high brass # 5's at a time. early 16ga guns were 2 9/16 and later chambered for 2 3/4. you really shouldnt shoot 2 3/4 in a 2 9/16 gun. no 3", as far as extra full choke, never seen one myself, i have a couple full choked guns that work just fine.

Now youve got me wondering just how old my shells are for my sweet sixteen....I bet it hasn't been shot in a decade

I shoot some pretty old shells out of my two old Winchester side by sides.

I have not had problems finding shells. I get them from Wal-mart and BPS and the price is no different then 12 or20s

My Ithica 37 is a straight barrel, no adjustable chokes, Modified choke. 2 3/4" is all that most 16 gauge are chambered for. Academy does have 16 from time to time, but the price is a bit more than 20 or 12. The shot selection is usually #4 or #6.
