Does anybody have any insight on what it will take to get a federal permit to shoot one of these overpriced goats.
We do have a couple of them, both males, no females, so i'm just wondering if anybody has any inside info on this subject?

You have until April 4 to kill them without a permit, after then, you will need one.

You must apply to the government for a CITES permit. The process can take anywhere from 6-12 months and that is if you are approved. Shoot em now.

It sounds like you may never get one with only two on your place.

This might be true....I think you will need to have a sizeable herd and only harvest 10% of it a year.


But I am probably wrong.
