Line that feeds back into the garbage disposal can get clogged as well. Have had it happen. Just take it off and makes sure its clean.

Does the dishwasher drain hose connect to a garbage disposal under the sink?

Mine did the same Breezy and it was the hose that drained into the disposal/sink. Mine had a release valve of some sort next to the faucet and it had clogged there.

          Probably all those Oreos..

Disconnect the hose at the disposal, hold the end of the hose in a decent size bucket and turn on the dishwasher. If nothing comes out then it could be in the hose or in the pump housing somewhere under the dishwasher.

There is also a sensor of sometype inside the dishwasher that tells it when to pump out water. Sometimes this thing gets fouled up and the dishwasher does not know to pump out the water. This would be a repair for an appliance guy or possibly just get a new dishwasher if it is an old unit.

Try the bucket deal first and we will see what happens.

                  This as well!

Some homes have a vacuum breaker that the dishwasher drains through mounted in a hole next to the faucet. You think you may have one of those dealios?

I did but you told me I could remove it and do a direct connect. The hole was filled with a soap dispenser ..
