    Air boat question

I have this 15' semi V alum boat with no motor sitting. My buddy has a 23np with prop, cage, controls that runs and wants 200.00 for it. I ca n handle the fabbing needed to mount on boat etc
Now would this push the boat around with a couple 250 lb guys in it? Does the motor setup need a title like an outboard? I have 0 experience with air boats of any size.

I would not recommend making an airboat out of a semi-v. It may not be stable enough in a turn.

To answer the main question it has to be registered with any kind of mechanical propulsion. Don't think a title would be needed.

Also have 12' john boat 40 something" wide across bottom, would that work better?

I would think a flat bottom would be a lot better. Never seen one that wasn't flat bottom.

23hp will push it but with (2) 250lb guys, negative.

            southernairboats.com. Search "mini airboats"

            Good luck!

Title is not needed for motor. Register boat and trailer and you're good to go

Thats nothing more than a fan boat and it will puch the boat with you and your buddy at around 5-8 mph thats it and the semi v isnt your best choice.

And yes you have to register it like any other boat with a motor.

I wouldnt mess with either of those boats or the motor. What do you have in mind actually planing out, or just putting around in shallow water?
