I dont know how to get the actual score for free, but you can go directly to the credit reporting agencies web sites and request a free copy of your credit reports.

You can get your scores here for free. You have to do a 7 day trial but its free. I would get my score and if you dont want to keep it cancel it. Its what they advertise. If cancelled...its free

You will probably have to pay or go somewhere and apply for loan. The actual score is added option to the CBR. Also there are many different scoring models, so that can effect which score you request.

This is what I did, but you only get the report for free. You still have to sign up and cancel to get your score. Unless I missed something.
