Killed one that went 365. Killed a few others over 300. Most have been 100-175. Anything over 400 is rare. Anything over 500 is domestic just bout. Guessing a hog weight based off pictures is a crap shoot. I can't tell you how many people claim to kill huge hogs then show me A pic of it on the front rack of their wheeler.

I think all of the zilla hogs are or were a domestic at some point.

For wild hogs 300+ can happen, anything close to 400 and over has usually been barred, not always though. I would say anything close to 500 would be domestic, or domestic cross.

if someone can look up a few years of weights that won the hunting contests. los cazador, freer deer camp, or others. 400 to 600 wins. the best i have did? dont know the true amount. could not roll it over myself. was 6.5 feet from nose to tips of hind legs on the rack. hanging. i had a ford ranger. did load it in back. squated the same as the honda three wheeler i had. its on 35 mm film. seen three at a easy 275. one more that may have pushed 350. rare to pass 500. but it does happen.

                    Nice place Randy .

And fellers, 300+ dose happen but not very often. 400+, not so much. I'm still working on getting in the "400 Club". That's why I carry scales with me all the time. And if I"m invited to someone Else's place, they get a free set if they don't have any just to keep the guessing down .

Some common chariteristics of the euro strain: Look for a lone tooth behind the tusk (FND, just ask him to open his mouth for ya). tall shoulders and narrow low rump. (When you break the carcass down, the shoulders will be much taller than the hid quarters.) Standing main on the neck of a "highback" when agitated.

Got this 370 lb-er in Throckmorton on a free range 4000 acre ranch. There were 3 others in the group that big with him. I was on a lease with another long time TBHer that day. You can still see his um...."fur clusters" in the 1st pic. He has the tooth. Got the euro skull right here beside my PC. He stopped to check a sow, and I gave him a headache .

This one came off public lands, 340lbs on 350lb scales before gutting, and bow shot at 15 yards from a 12' ladder stand. Another TBHer helped me get this one out on a game cart after we gutted him. Getting him in the boat was another ordeal. I had to wait an hour for the right shot. No "special" tooth. His "Fur Clusters" must have weighed 5 lbs each before gutting. Course I am just guessing on those .

It's a rare hog that makes 300 let alone 400.

In my opinion, most of the big ones have the deer feeder circuit down pat and know where the creep feeder is and hit it regularly.

If everybody would quit feeding the deer and cows the hogs would lose weight!

That's the way it is down on our place. The neighbor has a feedlot and has creep feeders for cattle on pasture. The hogs get very fat on cattle feed. There is also a peanut plant just down the road and they dump bad/rancid/rotten peanuts at the back of the place. The hogs come feed at those dump piles.

I got on a lease in newton just to run dogs on. this picture was sent to me by a tbh member/lease member. Dont know how big he is, just know that he's been caught before (no ears) and he's is nothing like any other hog ive seen in the woods......long body, long snout, tall legs, no rear end squat.......gotta be a domestic/feral cross of some sort....any guesses?

Hopin to run into him this weekend!

Your sarcasm meter is broken. I think what he was saying is you would have to be 7-8 feet tall for that hog to be 413#.

I too have seen a lot of 300-350 pound hogs magically lose 75-100 pounds once on the scale.
