Button Buck Question

Can a button buck be tagged with an antlerless tag? Because for an antler to be classified a point it has to be at least 1 inch long.

A button buck MUST be tagged with an antlerless tag. If the antler is portruding from the skin, regardless of length, buck tag.

just curious. it is a question i have wondered about from time to time and never knew the answer. i have no intention of shooting one just wondering.
