Kansas unit 16 any good ????????

Thinking about kansas. Is unit 16 any good? Or is unit 12 better. Unit 16 is near medicine lodge and is southwest of ih35. Unit 12 is southeast of ih35 and near sedan.

I have heard good things about unit 16 anyone have opinion on these units?

I've hunted both. they both have great deer depending on the spot. Probably more wheat in 16 and more cover in 12.

Tons of oaks if you get in the Chautauqua Hills near Sedan. Lots of deer in 12!

the unit 12 spot seems to have alot of deer and cover, but more rolling hills and grass in 16 , but i have always heard alot of good stuff about 16 and not so much about #12. not to mention unit 12 is alot cheaper!

anyone else out there that can help? 12 or 16?

We own ground in 16.
There are quality deer. Are you going guided?

Be sure you do your home work on the guides in 16, lots of half hearted in that unit. But to answer your original question, unit 16 has some great area and some not so great area. Lots of shallow ground farming in 16, with lots more timber in Unit 12.
