The lid, temp and overall build was better than the blackstone. And it never once blew out on those march days where the wind was howling 20 mph across the parking lot. The blackstone had to run on high to prevent that. I have a small blackstone at the deer camp and the weber is hot enough to cook on wayyyy faster

Probably 6 meals a day for that (lunch would be for 20 guys). This year we passed the blackstone for a guys weber slate. No comparison and while small change, the grease drain on the front corner vs the back is awesome. Way easier to clean up when its set against a wall

Weber is a well known company and I'm sure has good customer service, but if you also search the old griddle threads on here, you'll find that Blackstone stands behind their products very well. From time to time some folks have had issues of warping if they overheat their griddle (primarily due to using the high pressure regulator), and Blackstone has replaced them with a brand new one. If I were to want to buy another griddle today, I'd just look around a bit and see where I could find a 4 burner Blackstone at the best price and buy it. My wife bought me the stainless cabinet version of the 4 burner one for Christmas several years ago. Since Christmas morning, that sucker has been sitting out in the back yard, not even under a porch or other cover and it still looks good today (when I clean it up). Only thing I added was a one piece aluminum cover. I clean the griddle immediately after I finish cooking on it and put the cover on. No issue with rust, ever.

Aside from regulator and ignitors, theres just not a lot to wear out on any griddle. We grill a lot at home and while I want a dedicated flattop I just dont know if I can make the full switch and at the cost of the weber, Id almost have to. I still prefer a steak on a grill over a griddle and we see a lot of use of the side burner the grill has. In a perfect world, Id have a unit that had all three and wasnt 12 feet long. But in that same world Id have 4 boats as well.........

I have a couple friends with the blackstone and they love it. It’s easy to cook on. Once I pour a concrete pad in the backyard I’ll be in the market for a griddle.
I like the traeger griddle, my pro780 has been great for the last 5 years with a ton of use but I hate having to be plugged in to an outlet. Saw a rectec version at Ace this weekend that looked well made but I’ve never heard of any true reviews on it

IMO the Webber is probably the best mass built griddle, but the blackstone is a very solid buy and you get a lot for your money. Basically go webber if you want to ride around in a F250 platinum and if you are ok with a F250 XLT get the blackstone. Then if you want a Bentley find a custom maker

i want someone with real world experience on the Grilla Grills griddle gas grill combo to chime in. i have a blackstone and gas grill. both work ok but i would like to rebuild one of those combo units in to my outdoor kitchen. i want one that has both at the same time on the same machine. not having to swap back and forth

I much prefer my camp chef over my blackstone. I wanted something bigger than the 32 or so blackstone. So i bought the Camp Chef FTG900. base cart and controls are great. I did end up buffing it down as it had alof of mill scale on it and i could not get it to season right and kept rusting after that its been good.
The metal on just about all of the mast produced griddles is junk.
