Dallas Mavericks when Top Pick in 2025 Draft

I keep hearing about AD always hurt. He has played more games the last 2 years than Luca did. I also believe the Mavs are a better team with Kyrie and AD than with kyrie and Luca. I just never was a Luca fan. He was too much like Cuban and always whining to the refs. I liked watching the playoffs as the timberwolves just ran right by Luca and Leflop James as neither played defense.

The Mavs obviously felt like they could not win a championship with him, also I think they were concerned about being able to re sign him, he is a great player but evidently a pain in the arse to deal with.

Yes and there were concerns about him out of shape and injuries starting to mount up because of it

Luka had just bought a house within a week of the trade, he has a young kid, he was blindsided and crazy emotional in his return to Dallas, Dallas had created incredible ties with his home country of Slovenia. He lost millions no longer being able to sign the Super Max..... he wasn't going anywhere that is all big bunch of bologna about concerns that he wouldn't resign..... plus they literally went to the Finals last year he probably felt like he had as good of chance to win a championship in Dallas as anywhere else.

Lol yea kinda my thoughts...he took them to the finals the year before and then the next he just wasn't good enough?! To fat didn't play D was a problem in the locker room AD is better than him Mavs are better with AD lol. Sure.....

Are the Mavs in the playoffs this year with how awesome AD is?
Team has every right to do what they want and have the players they want but let's not kid ourselves saying they are a better team with Luka

No...the SUCK was epic! It was inexcusable of Nico to all but just GIVE him away for 2 bags of fritos and a diet pepsi. Nico doesn't deserve this "reprieve" that's for sure. 😡
