Search engine is your friend... Lots of threads on these... Many, many on here have and use these feeders... especially when first introduced at $399.

Been running mine for about 5 or 6 years with no issues. I just wish it would throw corn a little farther .

At 399 they were hard to beat but at almost 500 I’m not sure it’s better than anything else

Bought two. Replaced the timers with “The Timer” because the original ones lasted until I put corn in them. Guess I got a bad run.

Not a fan. They are cheap for reason. Batteries and timers had to be replaced pretty quickly. The dinky cover on the bottom breaks off and exposes the motor and wires from the bottom. They are not varmint proof at all.

By the time time you spend the time and money to make it a reliable feeder, and with the loss of corn to varmints, you could have bought a better feeder ready to go and been money ahead.

We had 4 or 5 and got rid of all of them.

... and watch the edges. They don't clean up the cuts or welds like where the timer and battery are. They will cut the chit out of you.

I have had 4 out from 7 years to 2 years. The newest one had some issues early on but other than that they have all been great and way more durable than I’d have guessed. I had Hogs tump one over. I beat the dents out of it and it still works like a champ.

We have 3 that been running for over 4 yrs now with great results Recommend doing a search here and adding Smart's easy modifications. Only issue I had was a bear attact on one. It survived only needed to bend the lid back flat and replace the timer as it got rain in it. We will be adding one more before next season.

Been running the older $399 models for over 5yrs now. Its been very reliable, easy to work on if needed. Parts readily available w ASF. On the newer ones, they moved solar panel and battery compartment to the top and have better cover over the exposed wires. Some over achieving Coons will try to reach and get corn tho.

Do you have the rpm’s turned to high. Mine sling corn great.

Mine work like they should but the funnel slope in them is not down angled enough for it to throw all the corn that is in them. Have to keep at least half full for it to keep feeding, otherwise corn is on sides but not over hole to feedplate to throw.

I just bought another one this last weekend. We run 6 of them at our lease in Mexico with no issues other than battery or timer maintenance. Coons can sometimes wedge their hands up by the motor and yank on the wires until they cut in half. It doesn't happen often but has happened twice. Newer models have the battery and time in the top of the feeder keeping corn dust off them and reducing corrosion.

Thanks all, I did use the search and read everything - but wanted to get everyone's update on these, thanks again.
