Not a fan. They are cheap for reason. Batteries and timers had to be replaced pretty quickly. The dinky cover on the bottom breaks off and exposes the motor and wires from the bottom. They are not varmint proof at all.
By the time time you spend the time and money to make it a reliable feeder, and with the loss of corn to varmints, you could have bought a better feeder ready to go and been money ahead.
We had 4 or 5 and got rid of all of them.Last edited by BRUTE 23; 05-05-2025, 09:55 PM.

Been running the older $399 models for over 5yrs now. Its been very reliable, easy to work on if needed. Parts readily available w ASF. On the newer ones, they moved solar panel and battery compartment to the top and have better cover over the exposed wires. Some over achieving Coons will try to reach and get corn tho.

I just bought another one this last weekend. We run 6 of them at our lease in Mexico with no issues other than battery or timer maintenance. Coons can sometimes wedge their hands up by the motor and yank on the wires until they cut in half. It doesn't happen often but has happened twice. Newer models have the battery and time in the top of the feeder keeping corn dust off them and reducing corrosion.
