    Ford pass App?

I bought a used 2020 F250 about 6 months ago. I tried to connect the Fordpass app but it will not. I called up Fordpass and they told me I’d have to visit the local dealer to have them look into it. I stopped by the dealer and they said they need $275 to do this, and would have the truck up to 3 days. Also, I do not have the code to the digital lock on the door. Anybody here know away to fix or determine the issues?

You should be able to get your door code off your screen under settings somewhere.

As far as your ford pass app, you likely need to update your sync system. You can do it yourself. Instructions are on the ford website. Text me if you have questions.

I was in the exact situation as you with a 2020 F-250 as well. I still haven't taken it in to the dealer but when through a bunch of tech support. They transferred me like 6 times and each time being the next level of support SMH. Finally they found that my modem hadn't connected for over a year and told me to take it in and tell them it shows an error code SSM 51228 so they know what's happening. Not saying that's your issue but can be. When I would try to connect it would say it was sent for authorization which it shouldn't do. For the door code you will need 2 key fobs (I only had 1) or take to dealer. I talked with them and it was gonna be a couple hundred bucks and would have to leave it. Found one of those mobile key fob guys and met up with him and got a fob and key for $275. Figured it would be better to have 2 fobs then pay the dealer just for the code. Use both fobs to get the code. There are videos online but example: 1 will sit in a slot under the driver cup holders assuming it's a center console you have, then you will swap fobs after a few seconds then the code pops up on the dash screen for a few seconds.

About 2 months ago, after trying on and off for a couple weeks, I called Ford Pass and spoke to a Rep. While speaking with the Rep, I sat in the truck for about 45 minutes. We reset the system, but ultimately, she could not get it to work. That’s when she told my I’d have to take it to a dealer. That Dealer told me $275 for them to check into it.🤷🏻‍♂️

Door code should be inside the passenger kick panel.

Did you do the update where you download it off the website onto a flash drive and then flash drive into your truck? That’s the only way it’s going to update at this point.

did not do that…..didn’t know about doing that. I was connected to WiFi when speaking with the Rep, but honestly, she didn’t really sound like she had any idea what was wrong.
this needs to be done with a laptop and plugged into my truck?

Only if it’s never been changed. Most people I know change it to something they can remember easier.

I was told the owners manual has a card in it with the code. Mine was used and was no card.

It does come with a card in the owners manual. I’d have to drag mine out and punch in the code to see if the factory code works after an owner sets a code. I could have sworn you could have multiple codes. Maybe not though. I set mine and have never changed it.

                            That’s where I found mine.

I updated mine prior to calling tech support. You can download to a usb drive from your computer then when you plug it into the usb port in your truck it will automatically start to update. Like I said prior if you have 2 key fobs you can get it in a few seconds and if not it's cheaper to have one made then going to the dealer.
