Got a text from my mom. She had to bring my Dad to the ER, where they determined he needed to be admitted. He had his teeth pulled and was fitted for dentures. This past month he's been taken ibuprofen for the pain, however, he once had a bleeding ulcer. So taking ibuprofen was not a good move. His blood count is low, and will need a transfusion. The hospital is in the process of moving him to a room, and the Doctor has already ordered blood. But wants him to remain for other test to just make sure this isn't something else.

Lord, we know that You know the very hairs on this man's head. We also know that when we ask, You hear from heaven and answer our prayers. Today Lord, we ask for healing for this dad, that his bleeding be stopped and that You guide his care-givers to a proper treatment for his issues whether inside or out. Keep him from infection and relieve his pain as he heals. Restore him that he may be Your witness to others. Give comfort to our brother and all his family as they minister to this man. We ask, believing, in Jesus name, Amen.
Ain't no fun to have s sore mouth... puts you in a cantankerous mood often! Have patience with your dad, AND with your mom and she cares for him!
