I finally bought an Evolution sliding miter cold saw. Well worth the money.

The Evolution S355MCS 14" Mitering Chop Saw handles heavy-duty metal cutting with precision and ease. Check it out at Evolution Power Tools!

I have an abrasive chop saw but got to use a Evolution chop saw recently for a week of fabricating. The Evolution easily removed half a blade width when needed and made a very straight cut. Awesome tool!

Quality cold cut saw is the way to go. Band saws have their place as well. Chop saws are cheap and good for slinging sparks.

If you can get a handheld band saw to cut as straight as an Evolution chop saw with carbide blade then you are a super hero!

Handheld band is more convenient and makes much less noise and mess though

Ditch that abrasive saw and get an Evolution metal cutting chop saw. It cuts metal as straight as any regular chop saw cuts wood!!!!!

I have used a DeWalt chop saw through numerous projects over the last 20 years with no complaints. That said in today's market I would consider a the Evolution Saw.
