    Getting the scope today

I did my cleanse yesterday and they get to tell me if it’s shiny inside in a couple hours.
During the cleanse I got cold. I thought I was getting sick but I guess this is common.
For all of us that need to do this and put it off let’s look at the big picture and why it needs to be done.
I told Shawndel I am so hungry and we will have to probably go to Golden Corral!

It’s nothing to be scared of guys. One suggestion, shave your chest and where IV’s may go. That tape was a *****.
They didn’t think my jokes about looking like a lost and found jokes funny.

Worst problem is being hungry, I make a broth with rotisserie chicken carcass, skin, fat, etc.....and numerous vegetables and once all nice and cooked down strain it out to the liquid. Taste's great and you wouldn't even know you were on a clear liquid diet day prior. We always try and get ours done in morning but last one I had didn't happen till late afternoon and I was starving by that point.

Ah...the "date with the black snake"! I had my first one back in January. Felt like all I did was blink...and then it was over. I'm on the 7yr plan now. Those breakfast tacos we picked up right after mine was done were the best darned tacos I've ever had!!!

Hope it all turns out okay for you.

Had my first last week and thankfully clear bill of health. Made myself way too anxious for what it was. Prep wasn't all that bad and surprisingly neither was the hunger. Although, I did come out of it with a busted/bit lip somehow....😄

I fail to understand why everyone thinks they have to announce they are getting a colonoscopy
Is going to the dentist worthy of a post also ?

The dentist doesn't drug and "enter" you... Apples to oranges. On second thought, I wouldn't go out of my way to share either.

I've had two done. glad I'm on the 10 year plan. I think for the next one, I'm gonna have my wife write EXIT ONLY on my arse with a sharpie.

It helps to normalize an uncomfortable procedure, but I don’t announce mine.

Because so many are nervous or ashamed to have this procedure done and the seriousness of this being done. I wanted to share to show that it isn’t that bad and maybe someone who needs one will get theirs also. It might save someones life if something is caught early.

^^ This! My best friend was the one that pushed me for it. He's in the medical field so he's a little biased on getting things done, but he helped me feel less anxious about the whole deal.
I was told going in that they would make you count down from 100 when they put you under. I was told only one thing right before I went to sleep..."Goodnight!"
