When my FIL was near the end, he would have "weapy" moments. You could tell his soul was in terrible termoil. He knew his time was short and he needed to make a decision. He had never accepted Christ that anyone knew of, but said he had felt God's presence many times.

I was hindered in my efforts to talk to him about Christ at every turn, there was always someone else in the room that butted in and got in the way of a serious conversation. I did finally get the chance and he did confess Christ as Lord. I hope it was sincere.

All this to say, if your Dad is so inclined and if there is time it is likely he will be open to a discussion. You have to be there and be sensitive to the moment. Pray for that moment and for the Spirit to open the window of opportunity. All you can do is lay it out there.

I can't thank you all enough for your continued prayers. He is back home for now. About 30% of his kidneys are scar tissue. He needed an appendectomy and during the procedure they discovered his appendix was fused to the colon, which none of the doctors had seen before. He now has a hole in his colon but it seems to be healing well. He's still sluggish and tired... More to come. Just glad he is home for now.
