trail cams
I have 4 cuddebacks and 2 moultrie I-40. 2 of the cuddebacks are back at the factory for repair and one of the other one works sometime as long as the subject is real close (10 ft) or real big, like a truck.
The I-40's are bigger take 2 more batteries are simple to use and have a longer range, cost a lot less but won't trigger as fast as the cuddebacks. If you are placing them on a trail trigger spped will be an issue, if you are placing them on a feeder it won't.
The other question is do you want an infrared flash or standard flash. The infrared flash won't spook game but the night time picture quality isn't very good, the infrared flash does use up batteries as quick.
The standard flash takes good quality night pictures but may spook game, that question has been debated but know one really knows for sure.
Which one is best would depend on the individual situation. I have my cameras out most of the year and I don't think the regular flash spooks anything or the deer have just gotten used to it. I have been sitting in a blind when the flash goes off and the deer act about like when a bird takes off next to them, a little jump and that is it.

I cant comment on some of the other cameras but I have had several cuddebacks. The older models were great in my opinion. I didnt have any complaints at all with them. I sold them and bought one of the new expert models and I didnt care for it at all.
I was having a problem with the batteries losing their connection like alot of other people and I dont like having to screw the thing into the tree to hang it up. I dont like the mounting system at all on them and they are complicated to use compared to alot of the other ones.
They do take great photos though.
I have one of the wildview 3.0 cams and I have been very happy with it. It was $100 and the photos are great. Nite time isnt as good but satisfactory. I have been thinking about getting another cam myself and I cant decide which one.
The newer wildviews are supposed to have very slow triggers. Alot of people seem to have trouble with the D40's from the sound of it too but the I60 sounds really nice as well as the stealth 450. I would probly go with one of those two myself.

I have a ton of them and some I even built myself. My best suggestion is to use a solar panel and rechargable battery with a BIG memory card. Buy a couple of extra cards and just swap them out in the field when you check on them. I hate changing batteries and with the solar setup I never do. Academy has a panel and battery in a white box for about $40.00 bucks that works well on a cam or feeder...
Buy a $20.00 USB card reader for the computer and your good to go.
Thats my 2 cents...
