any reports? thinkin about puttin in at Harmon creek, on wednesday

    #2
I caught several limits in Feb. from my kayak. Mostly males. I'm able to go during the week when the crowds are not there. It should be on fire by now. I'd skip Harmon just because of the crowds. Run north to Nelson or Bedias and you'll have less people.

      DedDuk,
is bells camp still open? We used to put in at bells camp, then run to whites, chalk and Nelson's creeks. Last time I was there, the boat cut was silted in.

are the crowds bad, at harmons, during the week?

Haven't fished the River in several years, so I'm following this thread. We always launched at the bridge in Riverside and worked our way up past Harmon Creek.

We used to do that, as well. Always liked fishin around the old rock crusher, on the left side, goin in the creek, off the river.

Ain't fished Livingston in 20 years!

Brings back memories from the mid 80s. We leased 1000 acres in the triangle between the river and Bedias creek. We launched from there in the spring after hunting season. Owner was an attorney in Madisonville.

The one there now on the creek side. Last I checked it, it seemed good enough for my 21 foot CC

Bells camp has been closed for a few years. Lot of good memories there.

That whole area has changed for sure. The old one was at the end of River Road at the mouth of the creek. Where it is now was part of the lease. That area used to stand in water most of the time. The Madison Co. game warden made regular raids on the fish camps down there. Those folks were known as river rats back then. Only had the lease for a couple of years.

Those camps are still there and so is the original ramp.

Bells is closed. The public launch is your best bet. Lots of creeks to choose from. Harmon is the obvious behind white rock, but they are also the most fished. I always liked to head to Bedias first and work my way back. Nothing beats the scenery of a long river ride.
