"Hoosiers" Revisited

Lots of Gene Hackman videos been popping up since his passing last week. Hoosiers is my favorite Gene Hackman film by far. I though this video was pretty cool. It shows how the small town and area where it was filmed has changed since the filming.

I lived where a lot of the movie was filmed. But whether we lived in Terre Haute, Ferdinand or Rockville this movie was so relatable to so many. We had corn and basketball. Basketball is so popular that in 90’s we had a boom of kids named Damon after Damon Baily. Damon Baily was a phenomenal High School ball player that also played for IU and had a very short career in NBA because his knees wore out. Basketball players there are like famous people who fought at the Alamo here in Texas.
