3.5 Ecoboost engine F150

Is anyone on here an engine dealer? My 2012 F150 just ate a turbo this morning. Need to get a long block or a complete used engine for it.

Those motors are crap, you will need both turbos replaced as well if it failed in that manner. If you go the used route I would change the timing chains, phasers etc before putting it in the truck

You can and I suggest you do before one let's go. Mine had been making some funky noises for 2 weeks, 6-700 miles or so

I will never own a vehicle with a turbo. Sorry it happened to you !! I'm worried Ford will get rid of 5.0 before I'm back in the market for F150, too good of an engine for them to keep around.

Had that issue on 17 Expedition with 72k. $2800 at the dealer with new water pump also.

You might try a place called Green Leaf in the DFW area. They recycle Ford products as well as other makes.

I have a 2020 with over 90,000 miles on it and no issues. I ran into a guy pulling a heavy bass boat with his recently and he had over 200,000 miles on it with no issues. You just never know about those ecoboosts. I was definitely concerned after buying mine after reading about issues with them. So far nothing major. And, I maintain it very well.

This truck has 230k miles on it, I wouldn't say it's junk at all. I just should've replaced the turbos before they failed. I had most of the oil leaks fixed and it ran great. Fuel milage sucks, 3.73 gears, 34" 10ply tires, leveling kit and heavy foot. Average about 13 running 80. 16 if you run 70. 10 riding the ranch and pastures. I'll put a new engine and turbos and get another 300k. ROLL ON.
