    Crappie Guides

Kiddo wants to get on some crappie this spring. Closer (central Tx) is probably best.

Shout with recommendations (ones you've fished with).

Bob Jenkins out of Bastrop. One of the best in the biz. I believe he holds the record on Somerville still.

I probably caught and ate a record crappie from there about 20 years ago. I thought it was a bass when I saw its mouth. We weighed it on a meat scale at a store up the road that was there and it rolled 2.78 Pretty easy crappie lake in the spring

I fished with Lt Dans Crappie Co in December on the new Bois D'Arc Lake and we hammered em with LiveScope on jigs and minnows. Got a 2 man limit with only throwing 1 back for being undersized. I know he fishes Ray Roberts a lot as well. I reached out to him on FB.

I've got a trip with Bob booked in May and I think he said he's booked through June as of now.

I guess I'm a cheap ***, just inquired on some of these suggestions. Got a quote for $600 for a 3 person trip. I guess it's not bad if it's several buddies paying their own portion. But for a family of 3..... I'll pass.

I talked with Jess. $400 for the boat and two fishermen. $50 each for additional fishermen. Plenty fair to me.

If you wanted to stay in central Texas I would suggest Zack Minnix.

I have not fished with Zack Minnix but I know him personally and he catches a ton of fish. Jig n jerk guide service is his business name. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
