    Semi-Live Maxis and Hawg hunt RS Tx

    We are loaded up and will be hitting the road in an hour or so. Of course I will have my bow but I’m also bringing along my Smoke pole for them piggies off in the distance. I’ll do my best to get my hunts loaded up asap but again, there is limited Service out there. Most of the Axis are in velvet at many stages but iff’n ole Maxis comes out and is close to being tipped out I’d certainly be blessed to put a big velveted beauty on my wall. I will get LDP’s and hunt info. Loaded up after each sit .

    let it began

                  I’d already consider the trip a success!

                          It was pretty windy when we got here and we had some things to do so I got out a little late. There were Axis at the protein feeders but I was driving out. Decided to take the Grendel in hopes to dispatch a pig or 3 but they had already been there or no showed. When I got into the rifle blind I had WT all around me in every direction and I had three different groups of Axis doe’s come through ( groceries) but I let them carry on. I saw one small 2yo axis buck that had just started getting some nubs. Plenty of WT bucks completely shed or 1 side missing along with some bucks that had all of their headgear. Great to see that a lot of prospects made it through last season. Only 1 pic of axis does mixed with WT.

                          tomorrow morning should be a lot more eventful but I was very blessed to be back out in the woods.

                          I will be armed with my bow in the morning.
