    WTB R-Panel for Carport

I need to purchase some R-Panel (26 gauge) for a carport I am building. Looking to purchase color and not plain Galvalume. Anyone from TBH have any recommendations? I am in League city area. Mueller in Alvin is 1-1/2 weeks out. Alvin metal Mart has been a letdown every time I have called. Thanks in advance.

Interesting Metal Mart here was the best for my buddy who built his shop and now in-laws barndo. We tried getting a quote from Mueller years ago on a building, actually went in and sat down with plans and never heard back......be too far for you but most big guys use J and I in Madill but buddy said metal mart beat them.

Have you called the companies on Craigslist Houston? A Google search brings up quite a few for the Houston area. I haven't ever bought in Houston so I know nothing about any of the companies.

There is a surplus metals in Houston that always has good prices on stuff. They offer alot of options and even blemished Panel etc.

Recent reviews of this place worry me.

I did see several Craigslist adds, that’s an option I guess. Thanks

Surprisingly, I have done this with success. They will even roll and cut to your measurements.

Last place I used was in the area of Hwy 90 / S Post Oak in Houston.

I’ve bought from QP metal several times. They stock it in 2 ft increments. Little more than Metal Surplus but still much less than Mueller.

They didnt sell you the panel then? I will say the place in waller was cheaper than hilco the last time I shopped. There was a place in conroe years ago where I got material for my patio but thats been 15 years or so

I had not yet decided on what color I wanted to go with.
