Tactacam 3.0?

Considering switching the dz Coverts I run over to Tactacams. Covert pic quality sux. Plan/app is good tho.

Just bought two 2.0s off ebay for $69 ea.

Now yall saying they junk too ! 🤦♂️

Guess I'll give these a trial run. If good, I'll start looking at 3.0s.

What all they offer? Is the Pro diff from 2.0 & 3.0 ?

2.0 are not junk, I’ve had great luck with them, I am however going to buy a few of the 3.0 as soon as I can catch them on sale.

I have a Reveal X 3.0. I bought one to run for a while to see if it's dependable or not. I've been impressed with it over the last 3-4 months. I may switch all my cameras to these this year.

I have 2.0 and 3.0. The 3.0 has a better image quality but it EATS batteries compared to the 2.0.

I solved it by buying the external solar battery pack and its still showing 100% after 2 months.

Pretty sure that’s how it works.

Like I mentioned earlier, I have three 3.0 cameras that aren’t the Pro model. They don’t have the screen.

That said, I personally do need the built in screen because of the app and ability to log into my account on the website.

The screen is worth it alone. We just bought two 3.0s for 75 each at TSC and a 2.0 for 60.00

No idea. The 2.0 is still in the box. We just picked two 3s.amd and a 2 for 200 bucks. The two pros I've been running i use Amazon batteries and change once from August to now

I have 2 that I use on public land so the gps feature is nice. I took them out to west Texas this past season and still had good signal in places without cell service. Decent battery life and the standard pics are as good as HD pics from some other cameras

Needing to update the cams on the ranch and leaning 3.0. Location is pretty remote and I don’t have time to change batteries every other week. Any recommendations for battery/solar setups are greatly appreciated.

I use the Tactacam solar panel and this lithium battery pack from Amazon on my 2.0. I’m not sure if the 3.0 takes the same battery. This set up along with the SD loop feature on the camera makes it to where I literally never have to touch the camera.

They take the same battery packs. On the 3.0, it lets you know that there’s an external power source plugged in and also what the internal battery (if you use one) charge is at. The 2.0 and lower will just show 100% for the charge if you have a panel plugged in, it doesn’t distinguish between panels and batteries.

Below is a screen shot of my camera, it’s been out with a panel and battery packs for around 4 months now.
