About to order a TYM 574HC. Live in the piney woods of East Texas so mostly sandy soil. Will be used for mowing trails, cleaning bush piles with grapple, putting in food plots and general work around our property. Current tractor has R4s, but considering going R14s. Dont really want R1s as i dont really farm (no food plots are over 3acres) but not totally against them. How is the strength on R14 compared to R4s? My bigger concern is punctures on logs/etc if driven over. 5 years and only punctured a tire once while cleaning up all the logging slash left behind. At this point its mostly maintenance, cleanup is mostly finished

I’ve had several 25 to 30 HP Kubotas I’ve always ran R4s.This last one came with the R14s.We work on concrete 50 percent of the time and they have wore down twice as fast as the R4s I do believe the R14s are a little more gentle on grass when we work in established lawn areas.R4s seem to work a lot better in the mud and last longer for what we do as a landscape business.
