We might see 10 or so a year that's about it. And I am fine with that. Same with possum. Now Coons we got them by the truck load and I swear some of those boars look like they would push 30 lbs.

Thanks! We've got a lot of skunks here with a lot of white on them and they bring a bit more. I never thought I'd see the day I'd get excited to see a skunk in the trap!

Friscopaint- I use the Barkers Skunk Sleeper on an extendable painting pole to give them an injection. If you talk real calm and walk up in them slowly, they just sit there and let you inject them. They "fall asleep" quickly and calmly. I've only had one out of 20 or so spray, and that was because our dog was up the hill in the Mule barking her fool head off. Most of the ones we catch are in DP traps baited with dry cat food, but every once in a while catch one in a trail set down by the creek. Once you catch one skunk in a trap, that becomes a great location for further catches, especially during breeding season.

Here's the syring holder that screws on to the end of a threaded pole. It's about $15 at F&T Trading Post.

I've seen skunks a few times at fur buyers. Apparently people use those kill poles with a syringe full of acetone to kill them. I haven't seen any skunks yet but I hope I do. I like shootin those stinky suckers.

Lots here! My wife ran over one Saturday so her burban had to stay out of the garage for 3 days ! They must be suicidal because I almost hit one the same evening.

Funny I ran accross this thread. My wife’s dog got sprayed tonight. She’s an inside dog too. So we’ve been cleaning but the stinch in the house is still strong. My nose is burning from the smell. I’ll be goi g to look for odor remover tomorrow.

The peroxide/baking soda/dish soap formula works best for shampooing pets to get rid of odor, but an ozone generator is the way to go for your house. We own two of these machines and they work great for all kinds of odors. Just make sure you stay out-of the house, and ventilate it well before returning. This model is $59 on Amazon...

We have been seeing a lot. My dog got sprayed last week by one while trailing a coon. We are still trying to get the smell out of her. I didn't think about an ozone generator for the house. I might have to bring my ozonics out.
