    Jeep Restoration Project

I think its about time that I get my old 84 CJ back on the road. I drove this jeep through High School and College. The tub has always had a problem with rust. So it needs to be replaced. In a couple weeks I'm going to look at a jeep that caught fire. I'm hoping the tub is still in good shape. I'm sure I will have a bunch of questions for you jeep guys once I get started.

Shouldn't be much tougher than fixing a chainsaw motor that got burned up!!!
            Good Luck!

This is the year I hope to get mine back under it's own power. I've got 95% of the build components bought, covered up in the barn. Started out as a typical '85 CJ7, 258 6cyl, T-5 tranny, D300 T/C. I've already installed the '76 AMC 360, Ford T18A 4-speed with 6.32/1 low, and the twin stick kit on the D300. Narrow Track Dana 44 front w/chromoly shafts & Aussie Locker, Ford Early Bronco 9" rear with 31-spline chromoly shafts & full spool. Going spring-over w/outboarded YJ rear leafs on all 4 corners, 1" body lift for drive train clearance, new flat fender kit on the front, cut-out wheel wells w/TJ flares in the rear. Will be rolling on 38" TSL Super Swampers.....soon I hope.

Thanks! Once I get to that point I might give you a call.

My first big obstacle is to make sure the fire under the hood did not damage the fire wall of the jeep I’m looking to buy.

I've been wanting to restore a Jeep for years. I'm working on a deal for a 77 CJ5 or Cj7???
                              Don't know which model.
